The Designers Society was set up late 2009 to provide opportunities for students across all creative disciplines and educate them to the industry they want to work in.

Set up by students for students. Our main focus is the guest lecture series, from leading professionals and ex-graduates showcasing their work, discussing their experiences in design and giving a heads up on how best to approach getting a job in the creative industry. As creative students, we are always learning and this is a great way of expanding our knowledge and growing.
What else do we do apart from lectures?
– A variety of workshops and competitions catering for all creative courses
– Portfolio review sessions
– Networking afternoons with creatives from across devon
– Film and documentary showings
– Exhibitions of members work
– Reduced entry to listen to creatives at the 4Designers conference in London.

– Extensive social plan to bring different creative people together.
We are open to suggestions as to guest lecturers, workshops, or events. Who inspires you? All you need to do is tell us and we will do our best to arrange it!
